Whitesnake Returns to the Arena with Def Leppard...Awesomeness to Ensue

So, starting March 22nd, Whitesnake will be touring once again starting in New Zealand, kicking off their 2008 Australia/New Zealand/Europe tour. What marks this monumental and simply awesome occasion, you might ask? The release of their first album since 1997 (Live albums don't count, Mr. Nitpicky), "Good To Be Bad." Even better is that Whitesnake is in the works with Def Leppard to create an even better tour in the US following this European indulgence.

Since the 80's metal glam rock was one of the corniest eras (and the best era for drinking music/Friday night at the bar), I, for one, am pretty excited. The ability to see "Here I Go Again" and "Pour Some Sugar On Me" at the same show NOT performed by a cover band is actually something I would pay to see. And, according to the videos of older live performances (those in the 80's) have some pretty attractive people which have to still be in equally, if not better shape, right? Sugar Pouring, anyone?

But seriously, I will be going to this show when they finally figure out what the dates are. However, I can't say I will be picking up the album when it hits stores April 22nd. I'll just demo the 30 second clips on iTunes a la Michael Scott from The Office.
